To test it out, I installed my Ring Doorbell 4 around 40 feet from the extender on my front gate. And unsurprisingly enough, all functionalities, including live video recording, talkback, and more, could be accessed throughout the day.

As the name suggests, primarily Ring Chime pro works to enhance the sound of your doorbell. But its functionality excess far more than that, and its internal antennas and 802.11b/g/n wireless standard can send signals far away, where theoretical values stand at 2,000 Sq Ft.
In real-time, it’s tricky to put numbers, but trust me that signals traveled around 1,600 Sq Ft.
For my test, I installed Chime pro in upstairs, parallelly above my Ring Doorbell 4. This was where I had trouble hearing the motion alert or doorbell, and my router couldn’t send signals that far away, leading to a connection problem.
Now with Chime installed, alongside the clear sound of the doorbell, we could monitor every event happening at my front door. Aside from that, the connection capacity of the device could extend up to 12, so alongside my video doorbell, 11 devices could be connected at once.
However, lacking MU-MIMO might not allow you to stream 4K movies or play high-def online games.

In my range tests, the two internal antennas of Netgear EAX20 had a sufficient range. At a stretch, signals could travel up to 1,300 Sq Ft, which is adequate to fill your average-sized home with decent WiFi signals.
Compared to my previous recommendation, the range was low. But what sets it apart from those in integrating OFDMA and MU-MIMO? The signals transmitted from the extender are stable and undroppable, even if you establish connections on multiple devices at once.
So, my Ring Doorbell 4, installed 20 feet away from the extender, didn’t fail to record a moment unfolding in front of it. Other than that, I could connect up to 15 devices simultaneously, including smartphones, laptops, and computers.

In reality, the numbers weren’t far off, as combined with my Netgear RAX40, the extender could easily envelop my client’s 2,500 Sq Ft space with strong signals. This got the Ring Spotlight camera installed on its entryway gate (30 feet from the extender) up and running.
Other than that, connections on nearly 20 devices stay stable which, included smart TVs, mobile devices, laptops, and computers. The results are good considering the device lacks MU-MIMO, which helps a networking device to centralize its signals.
